Additional Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Information

John Williams' lovely and moving score for the sixth Star Wars film brings thirty years of collaborating on George Lucas’ beyond-popular intergalactic franchise to a close. (Is this really the end of Star Wars? Can’t Lucas and Williams work together on a prequel to these prequels? Let us hope so, and that Jar Jar Binks is nowhere near it.) As this music accompanies the most exciting Star Wars film in many a moon, the soundtrack itself is more fun, more evil, more nasty and bumpy. Many of the heroic, anthemic themes woven throughout Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith will necessarily be familiar to any fan of the series, from the "Imperial March" to the main theme. It’s remarkable how stirring the latter can be, no matter how many times you’ve heard it, and even for those who do not have all their money invested in S.W. memorabilia. There is a lot of new music here, and the lush, extensive range of both Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra is on display, most notably in the menacing, percolating "General Grievous" and the rousing "New Hope" end theme. --Mike McGonigal

What Customers Say About Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack:

And what a grand reunion of memorable melodies. Examples include Track 9, "Anakin Vs. Standing on the debatably smaller steps of PHANTOM MENACE and ATTACK OF THE CLONES as well as the mighty shoulders of the original trilogy, John Williams managed to bring it all together in harmonious union.Along with some captivating new themes. The vocal arrangements combined with the ominous tones of Anakin's betrayal, the fall of the Jedi, and the destruction of the Jedi Temple are beautiful yet very haunting. Track 12, "The Immolation Scene" provided a melodic but somber mood, somewhat of an echo of another piece John Williams composed also called "Immolation" on the soundtrack to SCHINDLER'S LIST.Also with SITH, much more so than the two previous scores, John Williams has done a wonderful job of blending old familiar themes (especially from the original trilogy) with the new. There must have been at least a few of those same people performing on REVENGE OF THE SITH. And I like to think there were a few of the old-timers there as well. Nothing like this has ever been heard on a Star Wars soundtrack. Obi-Wan" theme.

Obi-Wan," Track 14, "The Birth of the Twins and Padmé's Destiny," and Track 15, "A New Hope and End Credits" along with a couple of others. As noted on the liner notes of PHANTOM MENACE, there were musicians in the London Symphony Orchestra who went into music because they loved the Star Wars score so much when they were kids. That's one of the most wonderful things about this music: it transcends generational barriers. What a grand union of perspective. Four years ago, John Williams reached a pinnacle (again) with STAR WARS EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH. And I've heard nothing more intense than the "Anakin Vs. Now they're performing this music on an actual soundtrack.

star wars episode III revenge of the sith is the greatest movie in the world the greatest movie of the 21st century and the soundtrack is just as good buy this soundtrack you wont be sorry

I'm getting quite impatient as there is great music left off the album.Hopefully.It'll come soon. Let's hope for a Complete Score Of The Prequels, Much Like The OT. Yeah, Sure. i heard that it would be released with a bonus disk.as you can guess, i was enthralled. Is it a great addition to the soundtrack. the score on the album is amazaing.

DO get this item. a BONUS DISK. you can tell my dissapointment with the DVD. But in my opinion, i think more music shoulda been on the soundtrack instead of the DVD. WITH MORE MUSIC. the score to the final star wars film, is, actually, my favorite of all six.

AWESOME. Now, don't let that stop you from getting this.

If you are looking for the most remarkable collection of Star Wars themes, this is the best.

The music is good, but I especially liked the bonus dvd that had all the famous songs from Star Wars. It was like watching music videos of Star Wars.
